Buyers Information

Buying a home is one of the most important decisions you will ever make and should be done with the proper steps in mind. The staff an L.A. Real Estate Network, with over 30-years of combined Real Estate experience, can guide you from start to finish. Here are a few simple rules to follow.

  1. Do not start to look at homes if you have not been pre-qualified with a bank or mortgage company. Looking at homes prior to getting pre-qualified can be a waste of time for you since you may not know what you can actually afford. You may be looking at homes either too expensive that you cannot afford or you may be looking at homes in certain areas when you may actually qualify for a higher price and better area.

  2. Let the staff at L.A. Real Estate Network get you pre-qualified. Getting you pre-qualified first to determine the price of home you can afford is the most important step you will take in the home buying process. This will get you properly informed as to the loan programs that are available to you that best suit your personal financial needs.

  3. Once you have been pre-approved for your loan you will know what price you can afford, what your monthly payments will be and how much money you will need for your down payment.

  4. Now you are ready to start looking for your new home. You will need to make a wish list of the ammenities you would like to have, for example: bedrooms, baths, den, pool, large yard, fireplace, 2-car garage ect. This will help us better select the homes we show you on the buyer tour. Keep in mind that the list you have created is exactly that, a wish list and will for the most part be a guide used to narrow down what is important to you when looking for your home. The only way to get everything you want in a home is to custom build it yourself so with that in mind you can narrow down what amenities are important to you if not all are found in any one house.

  5. Next make a list of cities where you would like to live. Remember that the price that you were qualified for will also determine what areas and cities you will be able to afford. We can help you with a price and area search from our office database to determine where those areas are.

  6. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Getting the answers to your questions will help clear up confusion and keep you confident that you are making the right decisions.

L.A. Real Estate Network has helped many families achieve the American Dream of owning their own home. Let us help you get started.
